Bench Work
What We Repair by Mail
In-home service is metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Bench work is not geographically limited — if it fits in a box, it can come to us from anywhere in the country.
Power Supplies
PDS-128, PDS-128 Plus, 228CFX and related supplies. Aging electrolytics, failed regulators, and the clicking-relay symptom that gets misread as a dead control box.
Keydriver & Driver Boards
Keydriver boards, solenoid driver boards, and MX expansion boards. Dead ranks of notes usually trace to driver channels rather than the solenoids themselves.
Disklavier Supplies
Power supplies across Mark II, IIXG, Mark III and Mark IV generations. The most common failure on any Disklavier old enough to vote. See Disklavier power supply repair.
Pianomation Boards
CD2000 and Pianomation control and driver boards, including the red ER-light power supply failures.
Send a Photo First
If you do not know whether a unit is worth saving, photograph the unit and its label and send it through the form. We will tell you before you pay to ship anything.
We Come to You
In metro Atlanta or North Georgia? Skip the box. In-home diagnosis is a $100 flat rate, right where the piano sits.
The Process
How It Works
Nothing gets worked on before you have a number in writing.
Contact us before you ship
Tell us the system and what it is doing, or send a photo of the unit and its label. We confirm it is worth doing and give you the shipping details.
We bench-test and quote
The unit is tested, the failure identified, and you get a written quote. No work starts until you approve it.
Repaired and returned
We do the work, test it under load, and ship it back. If we cannot repair it, you pay return shipping and nothing else.
Why Repair
These Units Aren’t Made Any More
The replacement market for legacy player electronics is thin, expensive, and full of units the same age as the one that just died.
Discontinued Means Used-Market Only
A PianoCD or PDS-128 control box hasn’t been manufactured in years. eBay is the market, and every unit on it carries the same aging capacitors as the one you are replacing.
The Failure Is Usually Components, Not the Board
Electrolytic capacitors, regulators and relays are what age out. The board itself is generally fine. Replacing those parts restores the unit you already own.
Player Technicians Are Rare
Player systems sit in an awkward gap: too electronic for most piano technicians, too piano-specific for most electronics shops. Shipping the unit puts it on a bench that handles these systems.
Upgrades Aren’t Always the Answer
PianoDisc’s official path for a dead legacy box is an iQ upgrade — a good option, but not what every owner wants or can afford. Repair keeps the original system playing.

Bench Test
We test the unit, identify what failed, and send you the price in writing. No work starts until you approve it.
If We Can’t Repair It
If the unit cannot be repaired, you pay return shipping and nothing else.
Pricing is quoted per unit after testing, because a single failed capacitor and a fully reworked driver board are not the same job. Contact us with what you have and we will give you a realistic range before you ship.
