These Terms of Service describe the terms on which PianoPlayerTech provides piano tuning, repair, and restoration services and operates this website. By requesting service or using pianoplayertech.com, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — especially the sections on tuning expectations, warranties, and liability.
In these terms, "PianoPlayerTech," "we," "us," and "our" refer to PianoPlayerTech, a piano service business operated by Howard Resource Group serving metro Atlanta and North Georgia. "You" and "your" mean the person requesting service or using our site.

1. Our Services
We provide in-home and on-site piano tuning, regulation, cleaning, acoustic and player-piano repair, and restoration throughout metro Atlanta and North Georgia. The specific work to be performed, and its scope, is agreed between you and your technician before or at the time of service.
2. Quotes, Estimates & the Diagnosis Fee
Because every piano is different, any price we share before seeing your instrument is an estimate, not a binding quote. The final scope and cost are confirmed once we have inspected the piano in person.
We will not perform work beyond what you've authorized without first discussing it with you.
3. Pricing & Payment
- Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and may change over time. Promotional pricing (for example, seasonal specials) applies only during the stated promotional period.
- Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due after the work is completed — there is no deposit required to book standard service.
- For larger restoration projects, we may agree on a written scope and payment schedule in advance.
- We accept the payment methods communicated to you at the time of service. Returned payments or chargebacks made in bad faith may incur additional costs.
4. Scheduling, Access & Cancellations
Service is by appointment. To perform the work, you agree to:
- Provide safe, reasonable access to the piano and the room it is in;
- Ensure an adult (18+) is present, or has authorized the visit, for in-home service;
- Let us know in advance of pets, hazards, or anything that may affect the visit.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please give us as much notice as you can. We reserve the right to charge a trip or service-call fee for missed appointments or visits where we are unable to access the piano through no fault of our own.
5. About Tuning & Tuning Stability
Please understand how piano tuning works before booking:
- Pianos remain most stable in a relatively steady environment (industry guidance is roughly 35–50% relative humidity).
- A piano that is significantly flat, or hasn't been tuned in a long time, may require a pitch raise and may need to be tuned more than once — sometimes in the same visit — to hold a stable pitch. This additional work may add to the cost, and we will tell you if it's needed.
- New pianos and recently moved pianos typically need extra tunings as they settle.
6. Repairs, Parts & Older Instruments
Player pianos and older instruments contain aged wood, felt, leather, and pneumatic components that can be brittle or fragile. We work carefully and use appropriate methods, but:
- Aged or worn parts can fail or break during normal service despite reasonable care; this is a risk inherent to servicing older instruments and is not a result of negligence.
- Some repairs depend on sourcing parts that are rare or no longer manufactured; timelines and outcomes may depend on parts availability.
- We will recommend the work we believe is appropriate, but the decision to proceed is yours.
7. Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. If a repair we performed fails due to our faulty workmanship within a reasonable time, contact us and we will make it right. This limited assurance does not cover:
- Tuning stability or a piano going out of tune (see Section 5);
- Pre-existing damage, wear, or conditions present before our visit;
- Damage caused by humidity, temperature, moving, misuse, pests, accidents, or neglect after service;
- Parts or components we did not supply or install;
- Normal wear of older parts that were not part of the agreed repair.
Manufacturer warranties on any new parts we install are passed through to you as provided by the manufacturer.
8. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on a professional, good-faith basis. Except as expressly stated in these terms, services and this website are provided "as is," and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Information on this website is provided for general guidance and does not guarantee a specific result for your instrument.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PianoPlayerTech's total liability for any claim arising out of our services or this website will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Right to Decline Service
We may decline or stop work if a piano is unsafe to service, if the requested work is not advisable, if access or conditions are unsafe, or if we are treated in an abusive or threatening manner. If we decline before performing work, you will not be charged for that work (a diagnosis or trip fee may still apply where one was agreed).
