Most Repairs, In Your Home

We handle the repairs that keep a piano playable and sounding right — all makes, uprights and grands, across metro Atlanta and North Georgia.

Sticking & Broken Keys

Keys that stick, don't return, or feel uneven — usually humidity, worn bushings, or debris. Chipped keytops repaired or replaced.

Broken Strings

Bass and treble string replacement, brought up to pitch, with a follow-up tuning once the new string settles in.

Action Regulation

When the touch feels heavy, shallow, or inconsistent, regulating the action restores an even, responsive feel across the keyboard.

Pedals & Dampers

Squeaks, pedals that don't engage, notes that ring on or die too fast — pedal and damper problems diagnosed and fixed.

Buzzes, Rattles & Tone

Tracking down mystery buzzes and rattles, plus voicing to even out a piano that sounds harsh or dull.

Player Systems

Electronic player not working? That's our specialty — see player piano repair for Disklavier, PianoDisc, QRS & Spirio.

No Surprises on Price

We come to you, find out what's actually wrong, and tell you what it costs to fix before we touch anything. Moving a piano is expensive and risky, so almost everything is done in-home — we only suggest shop work when a job truly needs it.

Piano Repair Questions

How much does piano repair cost?
Most repairs are quoted after we see the piano. We assess the problem in your home and give you a written estimate before any work begins. Labor is $125 per hour and parts are billed at cost. Small fixes like a single sticking key are quick; larger jobs like action regulation or multiple broken strings take longer — you'll always know the price before we start.
Can you fix sticking or broken keys?
Yes. Sticking keys are one of the most common repairs we do — usually caused by humidity, worn bushings, or debris under the key. Broken or chipped keytops can also be repaired or replaced. We do this in your home in most cases.
Do you replace broken piano strings?
Yes. We replace broken bass and treble strings and bring the new string up to pitch. A new string takes a little time to settle, so we may recommend a follow-up tuning once it has stretched in.
Do you repair player pianos (Disklavier, PianoDisc, QRS, Spirio)?
Yes — player-system repair is our specialty. If the electronic player system is the problem, see our player piano repair page, which covers Disklavier, PianoDisc, QRS Pianomation, and Steinway Spirio. The acoustic piano itself we repair here.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. Almost all diagnosis and most repairs are done in-home, throughout metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Moving a piano is expensive and risky, so we come to you and only recommend shop work when a job truly requires it.
Is it worth repairing an old piano?
Often, yes — many older pianos are well built and worth keeping in good order. We'll give you an honest assessment of what's wrong, what it costs to fix, and whether the repair makes sense for your instrument before you commit to anything.
